Transform, Renew, ReInVentU
Our Story
ReInVentU Magazine provides a platform through which female veterans can have a voice to discuss how they have overcome transitioning from the military, life challenges they have faced, societal expectations they have experienced, and more, with the vision of empowerment through transformation, renewing of spirit, and reinvention of self.
These women are a representation of all the armed forces. They are mothers, daughters, providers, teachers, conquerors, survivors, chaos-makers, influencers, and trendsetters. These women have persevered and risen above adversities. Their stories will inspire and motivate you!

Deidare Thompson
Editorial Assistant
Her analytical and problem solving superpowers serve her well as the Credit and Collection Manager for Rayonier Advanced Materials in Jacksonville, Florida.
During her "me time", she enjoys listening to many genres of music, volunteering, traveling, attending wine pairings, spending time with family and friends, and creating designs for her Towel Art by Deidare clients.
One of Dedaire’s favorite life quotes is, "Nothing beats a failure but a try".

Jenerica Ross Banks Williams
Creative Director
In 2020, after taking two family members into her care through the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Jenerica founded three companies: Rainbow Notary LLC, J and K Higher Learning Educational Academy LLC, and Bootylicious Beauty Bar.
When she is not working, her favorite hobbies include hanging with her wife and five kids, ages 4, 10, 21, 23, and 29, sitting at home watching the four-year-old rule over the older siblings, or playing with one of her five “fur babies”. She also enjoys having family time in the car, traveling on cruises, or going to their favorite place: Orlando.
When Jenerica finally gets some “me time”, she enjoys listening to old R&B, jazz, or gospel music, although often, one might find her sitting on her favorite blue couch in her office, relaxing in her sauna blanket. Other times, she loves spending the day with her father, reminiscing on old times.

Anjeanette "Angie" Alexander-Smith
Copy Editor & Contributor
Angie is a mother of one daughter and a licensed minister and member of The Bethel Church, where she serves as an intercessor, a children’s ministry leader, and a teacher. Within the past year, she has served as a facilitator of small groups focused on discipleship and writing at her church.
Faith is at the core of everything Angie does. Her work is Christ-centered, compassionate, and creative. She has published a book that blends poetry and the epistolary form and has also published a spiritual meditation journal. Both books were birthed from her journey of brokenness that led her back to God.
Angie’s hope is for her writing to draw people closer to God and for her teaching to transform lives.
